IKEM (Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility) is a non-profit association and independent research institute with over 10 years of experience in interdisciplinary research on climate change mitigation. Its work explores issues at the intersection of law, economics and politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the Institute is to advance the transition to sustainability in both policy and practice. IKEM\u2019s research facilitates the development of a legal, political and economic framework that reduces greenhouse gas emissions, expands renewable energy and promotes sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

IKEM is a non-profit registered association affiliated to the University of Greifswald. Since 2017, it has held Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
