“Home for radical new thinkers” – that’s how the “Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation” (SPRIND), founded in 2019, describes itself. Since then, the Leipzig-based agency has been looking for novel approaches to solutions on behalf of the German government that have the potential to fundamentally develop existing products, technologies or business models and thereby create new markets, especially for the German economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One example of Germany having the potential to launch groundbreaking and inspiring innovations was demonstrated by the German company BioNTech in the Corona pandemic. With the rapid development of an mRNA vaccine against covid-19, millions of people worldwide are believed to have been protected from severe disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
