The COLIPI vision is Fermenting Renewable Carbon for Generational Life Quality! We close the carbon loop and enable climate-neutral value chains by replacing fossil carbon with biogenic or atmospheric carbon. This ensures that people can continue enjoying a high quality of life with affordable carbon-based products and services\u2014without compromising the livelihood of future generations due to global warming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are creating a carbon loop with a patented industrial biotechnology application built on two key technical pillars:

1. A unique Aerobic Gas Fermentation bioreactor and process design.
2. Genetically engineered, hydrogen-oxidizing thermophile bacteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The process only feeds on CO2, H2, O2 and a few nutritional salts. Together, these innovations may enable the world\u2019s fastest biological CO\u2082 utilization, operating as a continuous, unsterile, and cost-efficient bioprocess with low capital and operational expenditures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our platform\u2019s first product is Climate Oil\u2122, a sustainable alternative to palm oil. It is currently being supplied for prototype development across industries, including cosmetics, food, sustainable aviation fuel, chemicals, materials, and home & laundry care. Our side stream is protein-rich biomass, currently supplied to the feed industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The world is addicted to cheap fossil carbon. Moving addicts to a substitute \u2014 renewable carbon \u2014is challenging. It requires an ecosystem driven by strong government mandates, such as meaningful carbon taxes and supply chain transparency laws. Governments must safeguard citizens’ interests, ensuring stable living standards and controlled inflation. They will only act when substitute solutions are heard of and convincing \u2014 meaning scalable and financially viable. A robust ecosystem is essential, integrating universities for knowledge creation, startups to develop financially sustainable business models from this knowledge, and both public and private risk capital to scale these business models to an industrial level. To be heard it needs a strong voice, which I hope to find in The Tech for Net Zero.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
