STOFF2 was founded in Berlin in 2020 and aims to bring 100 % renewable energies to all sectors and applications of energy. Our innovative technology, the Zink-Zwischenschritt Electrolysis (ZZE), combines the functionality of an energy storage system and an electrolyser efficiently in one system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Zink-Zwischenschritt Electrolysis charges solar and wind power over 4 hours when they are abundantly available and cheap. The energy is safely stored as solid zinc within the electrolyser. When discharging over 12-24 hours, the ZZE produces green hydrogen out of the stored energy. Our system does not require critical raw materials such as lithium, cobalt and platinum and, unlike many other electrolyser technologies, does not require PFAS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the ZZE we are creating a completely new market, relieving the burden on the power grids, reducing the need for power grid extension and enabling a reliable supply of green hydrogen for industrial customers – on-site or for supply via the H2  grids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
