SAILWINT is a German EnergyTech startup developing autonomous, sailing wind turbine ships to generate clean, low\u2011cost, and scalable energy on the open sea. These innovative energy ships have a single purpose \u2013 to produce energy. They use industry\u2011proven wind turbines both for power generation and propulsion through their inherent thrust, converting the generated electricity directly on board into clean, electrolytic hydrogen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two key drivers enable this cost\u2011efficient energy production:
i) the use of stronger and more consistent winds far offshore, and
ii) the elimination of wake losses (wind shadow effects) that occur in conventional offshore wind farms.
Together, these factors can reduce energy costs by 30\u202f\u2013\u202f50\u202f% compared to traditional offshore wind power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mobile wind turbine ships require no fixed offshore foundations, avoid interference with sensitive marine and coastal ecosystems, and offer exceptional scalability, flexibility, and environmental compatibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
