Policy proposals from the climate tech ecosystem
The economic situation in Germany is tense. Decisive political action is required in order to utilize the potential for innovation and growth in Germany. The aim must be to reduce energy costs for the economy, renew the country’s industrial substance and invest in climate-friendly technologies. In this way, economic and climate policy can go hand in hand. A start-up-friendly, forward-looking policy will be crucial in the coming years.
The Federal Election will take place on 23 February 2025 and will lead to realigned political priorities. The climate tech sector, fuelled by innovation and entrepreneurship, is acting as an engine for new, climate-friendly growth and job creation.
Supporting innovative climate technologies must be a central concern of the next German government. As Tech for Net Zero, we have formulated concrete policy proposals with our position paper.

“Germany can become a global pioneer in innovative climate technologies – but this requires decisive action now. Politicians, start-ups and the financial sector must work together to drive innovation, attract investment and usher in a new green start-up era. The 2025 federal election will point the way forward!”
