ecopals

ecopals is a ClimateTech company based in Berlin, developing circular solutions for the road construction sector. Our patented technology replaces CO₂-intensive components in asphalt with high-quality additives made from recycled plastic. In doing so, we make a measurable contribution to emissions reduction and to strengthening the circular plastics economy.

Our product line, EcoFlakes, demonstrates that resource-efficient road construction is already both economically and technically viable. By integrating recycled plastics into asphalt, we reduce CO₂ emissions as well as long-term maintenance costs. At the same time, durability is improved by minimizing rutting and cracking, leading to positive effects on the environment, traffic flow, and infrastructure resilience.

Our technology bridges circularity with industrial scalability. Successfully implemented projects at both national and international levels show that sustainable construction materials are practical, effective, and broadly applicable.

Beyond our product development, we see ourselves as drivers of a future-oriented construction industry. In collaboration with partners from business, academia, policy, and industry associations, we advocate for improved regulatory frameworks to unlock and scale the full potential of circular solutions in infrastructure.

„Achieving Net Zero in the infrastructure sector requires solutions that are environmentally resilient, economically scalable, and technologically compatible. Only through close collaboration with all stakeholders can we successfully bring these solutions to the road.”
