Next2Sun

Next2Sun is a pioneering climate tech company and inventor of vertical bifacial photovoltaics, driving the next phase of the energy transition. Founded in 2015, the company develops and deploys innovative solar solutions that generate electricity when it is most needed during morning and evening hours enhancing grid stability, reducing curtailment, and improving the economic viability of solar projects.

To address the limitations of conventional south-facing solar modules in achieving a net-zero energy system, Next2Sun developed a vertical mounting system that enables countercyclical power generation. By capturing sunlight from both east and west, energy production is shifted away from midday peaks toward periods of higher demand, improving alignment with grid needs and reducing reliance on fossil-based peak generation.

Building on this technology, Next2Sun has developed a high-quality product portfolio, including its patented Agri-PV system, Fields2Sun, which enables the simultaneous use of land for agriculture and solar power generation. This dual-use approach also extends to private and commercial applications, where the Fence2Sun solar fence provides an efficient and cost-effective way to enclose properties while generating solar power.

Net zero requires solutions that work at scale and within real systems. By combining dual land use with grid‑relevant solar generation, Next2Sun turns innovation into measurable impact.
