Climate Neutrality 2045 – New Technologies for Germany

Technical innovations are a crucial component in achieving climate neutrality. A large part of the emission reductions required for this will have to be achieved through technologies that are not yet scaled in the market today. So in order to have the right technologies available at the right time on the road to climate neutrality, an innovation pipeline must be built up. Along these lines, technologies that are still being researched in the laboratory today must be brought to market. Solutions that are already well developed must be enabled to scale through market-creating instruments. Solutions that are already in widespread use must penetrate your markets even faster.

In its report “Climate Neutrality 2045 – New Technologies for Germany” published today, the Tech for Net Zero Alliance presents 20 pioneering climate innovations that can make a decisive contribution to German climate neutrality. The examples show that there is a need for holistic technology support that creates an appropriate regulatory framework, uses support instruments in a targeted manner, provides the necessary infrastructure, and supports rapid scaling and commercialization by entrepreneurs.
