Climentum Capital

Climentum Capital invests in European startups that can cut down megatons of CO2 equivalents in a concrete and measurable way. The fund targets late Seed and Series A investments with entry tickets of 1-5 Mio. EUR.

We look at the highest emitting sectors and define ‘strike zones’ within these sectors – and that’s where we allocate most of our research and investing resources. But what sets us apart from the pack is our explicit focus on industrial solutions. We have a strong preference for hardware solutions that enable sustainable industry and we see software mostly as an enabler/augmenter.

The fund was founded by five truly diverse partners with four nationalities and backgrounds in VC, entrepreneurship, institutional financing, consulting and corporate. Also, with two partners out of five being female, Climentum is one of the most equal VC organizations in Europe and intends to continue doing everything possible to bridge the gender gap.

“Now is the time to invest in Climate Tech. We need to see results within the next decades and see momentum from all sides: governments and corporations are pushing for real change, the best talent is moving into the space and technology has developed massively.”

Dörte Hirschberg, General Partner
