Ecoworks

ecoworks develops products and processes that enable fast and cost-effective serial refurbishment of existing buildings. For us, the goal is to reduce CO2 emissions in the building sector. This sector is largely responsible for total CO2 emissions worldwide.

The core product is prefabricated elements for facades and roofs, which are industrially manufactured as wood-frame constructions with sustainable insulating materials and integrated building technology as well as new windows. What is nowadays usually manufactured and installed by hand on the building site can be produced by robots in partially automated factories and brought directly to the building site as a finished building envelope and installed easily as well as quickly.

Buildings that were once highly inefficient thus become plus-energy houses within a few weeks, generating more energy than they consume. We plan to have saved a cumulative one gigaton of CO2 emissions by 2045 through the serial refurbishment of existing buildings.
