Spark e-Fuels

Spark e-Fuels is an innovative climate tech start-up tackling aviation’s significant environmental impact. Spark solves the problems of limited availability and high cost of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), by developing integrated e-fuel SAF production systems that can be connected to lowest-cost renewable electricity directly. Spark’s technology is based on proprietary load-flexible e-fuels production processes to achieve lowest-cost and scalable e-fuels production.

SAF is the best solution to reduce emissions in aviation especially for long-haul flights where combustion is the only viable propulsion option. E-fuel production is the most scalable pathway to produce SAF, however suffers from high electricity costs and low availability. Spark’s proprietary e-fuels process technology enables direct access to lowest-cost wind and solar electricity to significantly reduce production cost and achieve fast production scale-up.

Climate change requires the development and scale up of industrial technologies at a digital speed. Only with a strong ecosystem working together across technology, financing and policy this can be achieved at fast enough pace.
